Division 02 · Automation & Controls

PLCs, SCADA and the screens operators actually use.

Programming, HMI and SCADA, drives and startup for plants, skids and machines, new or decades old.

What we do

From the I/O to the operator.

PLC programming

Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix (Studio 5000) is our specialty. We also program Siemens, AutomationDirect, Schneider, Omron and other major platforms. New programs, changes and cleanups.

HMI & SCADA

Raylux, our own platform, and Ignition are our first choice. We also work in FactoryTalk, Weintek, AVEVA/Wonderware and other HMI and SCADA packages. Plant overviews, equipment popups, trends and historian.

Alarms & remote access

Alarm handling that cuts nuisance alarms, mobile screens, and text or email notification when something needs a person.

Drives & motor control

ABB and Allen-Bradley VFDs over EtherNet/IP, soft starters and E300 overloads.

Commissioning & startup

I/O checkout, loop checks, tuning and operator training.

Upgrades & migrations

Moving older PLCs and HMIs to current platforms, planned around your production.

Sample work

Screens we build.

From our demo plant, running on a simulated process. Customer screens stay with the customer.

Wastewater chemical feedFive bulk tanks with duty and standby pumps, level control and daily usage totals.
Dissolved air flotationDAF cell, saturation tank and recycle, with effluent quality and discharge totals.
On a phonePlants, areas, devices and alarms at a glance.
Steam peeling lineBatch peeler with weigh hopper, brush machine and peel waste screw.
Plant overviewSeven areas at a glance, with start and stop, key values and a live trend.

How we write it

Code the next tech can follow.

Same blocks every time

Motors, valves, PID loops and totalizers come from one tested block library, so every program reads the same way.

Simulated first

Logic and screens run against a simulated plant before they reach yours, so startup day is checkout, not debugging.

Screens built to ISA-101

Grey until something needs attention, with color saved for the problems.

Comments a tech can use

Short tag descriptions and rung comments that say what the tech in front of it needs to know.

Raylux SCADA

Our own SCADA platform.

Monitoring, trending and alarming built in, from a single pump station up to a full plant, without large license costs.

  • Scales with you. Start with one machine and add areas and sites as you grow.
  • Trends and alarms built in. No add-ons to buy before operators can see history or get alarms.
  • Every driver in the box. Eight field protocols plus OPC UA client and server, with unlimited tags, devices and engineering seats on a perpetual license.
  • Supported by the people who build it. Questions and changes go straight to the source.
